Tashkent region is situated in the northeast part of the republic and placed in the valley of the rivers Chirchik and Akhangaran - inflows of Syr-Darya.
The region has very favorable economic-geographical position. First, it is located between Ferghana valley and oases of deserts and Zarafshan. Second, it is located at the trunk-railway connecting developed cotton-growing areas with the European part of Russia, Kazakhstan and Siberia. That’s why Tashkent region is the unit economically connecting adjoining territories.
The significant part of the region is in the foothills Tyan-Shan ridges. The nature is beautiful and picturesque.
The total area of the region is 15.3 thousand square meters.
